2012 - What's going to happen?

  1. Just a point I wanted to make about a comment someone made to me the other day concerning the cost of the survival vests. Not everyone has a million dollars to spend on an underground compound with years of supplies just waiting for the moment we all hope never comes. And what if the place you do have your underground hideaway is at ground zero of a catastrophe? Or you are nowhere near it and can't get to it? With one of these vests you have the capability of taking it with you anywhere, within reason. You of course won't be wearing it on a plane trip. It can be part of your luggage when you travel in your own vehicle. I wouldn't recommend leaving it in your trunk all the time. Store it where you can easily grab it as you head out the door. Put it in the trunk when you travel any long distance from home. If work is more than 30 min from home, have it in the trunk. It won't do you any good having it somewhere you can't get to in a hurry. The whole point of the vest is that it's a one piece unit with all the essentials to keep you alive and on the move if necessary. So it comes down to how much is your survival worth? $500 to $600 too much to spend on a set-up that you didn't have to go shopping at several different stores to get all the gear together and didn't have to assemble in a package you could easily carry that wouldn't be bulky and restrict you movement? There's people spending thousands of dollars buying weapons, ammo and food supplies but it again comes down to what if you have to leave in a hurry and cannot stay at the location you have everything stashed? You can only leave with what you can carry. Some people will think they'll just load everything into a vehicle and drive but what happens if that vehicle comes across terrain it cannot cross, breaks down without being able to be repaired or just runs out of fuel with no fuel to be found to refuel it? It's back to, you can only take what you can carry. Or you may be one of those people who believe the government will take care of everything. Remember New Orleans? Now imagine something nationwide. Luck favors the prepared. Don't expect politicians to come running to the rescue. They'll be busy saving their own ass. Time will be the judge. Something will or something won't happen. If nothing happens in 2012 than you purchased a vest that can be used for hunting , hiking or some other unforeseen emergency that could occur in the future. It's at least something that you've spent hundreds of dollars on that has a purpose unlike some of the things we all have around our homes that are only there because it's pleasing to the eye. Buy one, don't buy one or put together your own. The resources are out there. Have a plan, be prepared, just don't think because you ignore a situation it will go away. I personally wish nothing drastic happens to any of us on our small planet in the vastness of the universe. But I've always been one of those people who believe it's better to have something and not need it than need it and not have it, especially when my life may depend on it.

  2. Looking for suggestions on adding or omitting any of the gear or supplies. Let me know what you the customer would prefer to have. I have omitted and changed up some of the gear to make it more compact and more organized as well as dropping the price by $50. Originally $600 for the vest but now $550. I also have added the Gerger Bear Grylls Survival Series of Survival Gear to the site and any of that can be added or exchanged for any of the existing gear included in any of the survival kits we offer.

  3. I finally got this site up and running. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to pass them on. In the mean time, let's get a discussion going about this upcoming phenomena we're calling 2012. Any new rumors of what might happen?

  4. Let us know what your thoughts and opinions are about this subject.
